BAFTA Award-winning Animation Supervisor, Paul Kavanagh is a trusted collaborator to filmmakers such as J.J. Abrams and Michael Bay who have come to rely on his innate ability to design and visualize sequences which serve to further the narrative in interesting and compelling ways.
Kavanagh has lent his talents to many film franchises including STAR WARS, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, AND STAR TREK. Some of his more complex projects have included AVATAR, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE III, and STAR WARS: EPISODE VII - THE FORCE AWAKENS, the latter of which earned him two Visual Effects Society Awards as well as a BAFTA Award for Best Special Visual Effects. Kavanagh served as Animation Supervisor on Abram’s second STAR WARS film, THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, for which he once again received a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Special Visual Effects.
